Colombian tenor Camilo Delgado winner of the Second Prize at the 2011 National Singing Competition of Colombia, Special Prize of the jury for the youngest outstanding performer at the Johaness Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Austria 2013. Winner of the Scholarship “for Colombian people abroad in education of arts” of the Culture Ministery from Colombia. Finalist at the 5th International Competition Pietro Antonio Cesti in Innsbruck, where he will be participating at the production “Octavia” for the “Alte Woche der Musik” festival.
He has participated in masterclasses with professors and singers such as: Francisco Araiza, Wolfgang Holzmair, Helmut Deutsch, Bertrand de Billy, Günter Haumer, Will Crutchfield, Maria Teresa Uribe, Dawn Upshaw, Rosa Domínguez, Jessica Rivera, Cesar Gutiérrez, David Lutz. He was involved in Opera Workshops such as: “Tamerlano”, “Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda”, “Die Fledermaus”, “L’enfant et les sortileges”, “Signor Deluso”, “Hand of Bridge”. Delgado has also participated as soloist in the Christmas concert 2011 with the Symphony Orchestra of Colombia.
As well, he has performed in important concert halls and theaters such as “Albert Hall”, Australia, “Wiener Konzerthaus”, “Schloss Schönbrunn Theater”,“Teatro Bogota”, “Teatro Julio Mario Santodomingo”, “Teatro Jorge Eliecer Gaitan”,”Auditorio Teresa Cuervo”. January of 2012, he won the scholarship to participate in the masterclasses of the music festival of in Cartagena, Colombia. He worked for 3 years as a singer in the Official and Professional Opera Chorus of Colombia “Opera de Colombia”.
Currently, he in his sophomore year as a voice student at the University of Music and performing Arts in Vienna and belongs to the studio of the Professor and singer Claudia Visca. He completed recently an exchange program at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in the class of the tenor Claudio di Segni.
